The 19th annual Virginia Festival of the Books is a celebration of books, authors, and reading. It is produced by the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities and has become the largest educational book event in the Mid-Atlantic, drawing a cumulative annual attendance of more than 20,000. The Festival, which takes place March 20-24, 2013, is held in venues throughout Charlottesville and Albemarle County, Virginia. On Wednesday, March 20 at 6 PM, the Virginia Writers Club and Poetry Society of Virginia will be partnering to present the following Festival panel discussion - "Getting it Together: The Process and Power of Anthologies." Moderator: Sarah Collins Honenberger; Panelists: Gary D. Kessler, Linda M. Layne, Sofia M. Starnes, and Jack Trammell. Location: Northside Library, 300 Albemarle Square, Charlottesville, VA. Following the presentation, panelists will be selling copies of their respective anthologies.
On Saturday, March 23 from 9 AM to 4 PM, the Virginia Writers Club will have an information booth at the book fair, held during the Festival's "Publishing Day" event at the downtown Charlottesville Omni Hotel.
