Throughout the year, the Virginia Writers Club hosts a variety of events, contests and more. Plus, you'll find programming, critique groups, retreats, book fairs and more through local chapters. 

Navigating Your Writing Life Symposium: Yearly full-day event filled with workshops on all aspects of writing.

Golden Nib Contest: Yearly writing contest in areas of fiction, non-fiction and poetry. 

Scholarship: Each year, the Virginia Writers Club gives a scholarship to an entering college freshman who plans to pursue a writing-related area of study. 

Teen Nib Contest: Yearly writing contest for teens.

VWC Journals:  Virginia Writers Club publishes three journals a year. Two of them take submissions directly from VWC members in poetry, fiction, and nonfiction, and the third is comprised of the winners of the Golden Nib Contests.
