The Virginia Writers Club has 10 chapters and 3 sub-chapters located throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Much of the programming such as critique groups, workshops, retreats, and book fairs take place at the chapter level.

Alice W. Campbell, Digital Outreach and Special Projects Librarian, told us about their work to create a digital hub for James Branch Cabell, whose name is on the VCU library, but who is also a founding member of the Virginia Writers Club.
She also shared a page that outlines the history of the Virginia Writers Club and includes several newspaper clippings from 1918 and 1919.
