Paul Fleisher

Paul FleisherPaul Fleisher: Paul is a writer and teacher. He has written about 30 books for young people and educators. His most recent books are Ice Cream Treats, Evolution, and The Big Bang. His books for educators include Brain Food: Games that Make Kids Think and Twenty-first Century Writing. He has also written award-winning educational software and numerous essays and reviews. Paul’s awards include the Virginia Education Association Award for Peace and International Relations, the Thomas Jefferson Medal for Outstanding Contributions to Natural Science Education, and two Parents’ Choice Awards. Paul recently retired from 25 years of teaching gifted middle school students in Richmond. He still teaches adult classes in writing and publishing children’s books at the University of Richmond and the Hand Workshop Art Center. He is available to speak with groups of adults or young people on such topics as teaching with games, teaching logical thinking skills, how a book is made, ice cream treats, and how to get your good ideas published.
